About Joey

Hi, my name is Joey Garr and I was born in Montreal but moved to Toronto when I was 17 years old.  My friends describe me as a definite extrovert with a large social network.  One of my greatest qualities is my ability to organize everything and anything. Growing up I guess I was a bit of a rebel, but I always managed to be responsible.  Don’t get me wrong, I got in a fair bit of trouble but nothing major.

When I first moved to Toronto, I decided to pursue a career in acting.  I took acting classes, did a lot of one liners and extra work, ultimately leading me to open my own agency called “Garr Talent”.

I spent the next 25 years of my life in the Fashion Industry.  From merchandiser, to buyer, to manager, to superviser, I really touched on all facets of the business.

The way I spend my time today is very fulfilling.  I am now able to do the things I am truly passionate about.  I have a real soft spot for animals, and would love to save them all but I know that is not realistic.  I adopted 5 cats and a dog about a year ago.  Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep them all but I found wonderful homes for 3 of the cats and the others live with me.  Good thing my boyfriend likes animals too.   I am also very interested in interior design and home makeovers.   One of my greatest strengths is finding deals, so anyone looking for a home makeover on low budget, look no further.

My ultimate goal now is to help as many people as I can reach their full potential.  I put together a lifestyle  website as a tool for all of us to explore and share knoweldge on a variety of topics.  The power of “We” is much stronger than the power of “Me”.  I hope you will all participate.
